The Nevada State Railroad Museum, Carson City, is excited to host a unique motor car-themed event for Labor Day weekend to celebrate the 100th “birthday” of the museum’s Tucson, Cornelia & Gila Bend (TC&GB) No. 401 Edwards Car, the museum has a lineup of motor cars to celebrate the occasion including:
Tucson Cornelia & Gila Bend Edwards Motor Car No. 401
Virginia & Truckee McKeen Motor Car No. 22
Rio Grande Southern Galloping Goose No. 7 from the Colorado Railroad Museum
Death Valley Railroad Brill Motor Car No. 5 from the Laws Railroad Museum & Historic Site
Motor Car Sarah Kidder from the Nevada County Narrow Gauge Museum
A replica of Virginia & Truckee Motor Car No. 24
A replica of Nevada Central Motor Car 107-C
Rides will be available on the Galloping Goose, Death Valley Railroad No. 5, the Sarah Kidder, TC&GB No. 401, Virginia & Truckee McKeen Motor Car No. 22.
Event Schedule
- Museum Access: 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Motor Car Rides: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Handcar Rides: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM
- Motor Car Shuttle from Depot to Museum Buildings: 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM, every 15 minutes
- Behind the Scenes Annex Tour: 1:00 PM
- Food Trucks: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Museum Partner Booths: 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
*Saturday only, Edwards Motor Car Birthday Party: 11:00 AM

One wristband covers everything for a full day of fun!
Adults: $25
Children (4–17): $15
Children (3 and under): FREE
Please note, wristbands are required. The Museum will not be selling single rides or standard admission tickets during the event. Member discounts do not apply.
